Xootr Swift First Impression

by Richard Masoner

XOOTR Swift

At first glance, you can tell that the Swift is no ordinary folding bike. The bike has higher end components than other folding bikes.

XOOTR Swift
I has a SRAM 5.0 8 speed Grift Shifter

XOOTR Swift
and a SRAM 4.0 Rear Derailleur.

First thing I noticed was how smooth the shifting is, no click-clack, click-clack just a click from the Grip shift.
I rode the Swift thru some rolling hills, the bike was very stable at fast speeds, I felt confident pedaling fast on the downhills.

When it came to the uphills, well, it was a different story. The bike has a gearing of 52tX28t as your ‘granny gears’, being out of shape, I really huffed and puffed thru the steeper sections of the uphills.

My first impression is that this bike is really a high performance bike that folds.

I really enjoyed pedaling fast on this bike, I loved the handling and the convenience that this bike offers.
