I cannot seem to get the resistance up. I push top gear and don't get a sweat up over an hour. If I make the tyre closer I end up with rubbers all over the floor and the curtain behind. A serious question about using a Kinetic fluid Trainer

I have a giant OCR Zero with a compact chainset. I cannot seem to get the resistance up. I push top gear and don’t get a sweat up over an hour. If I make the tyre closer I end up with rubbers all over the floor and the curtain behind. I struggle to get my heart rate over 100bpm.

What am I doing wrong?
