If you live in Santa Cruz County you can qualify for up to $375 towards your purchase of a new electric bike. All you need to do is sign up for a free electric bike safety training class by calling the Santa Cruz Area

Although electrifying a bike nullifies most of the pedaling benefits, it may encourage people to ditch their cars and ride this form of alternative transportation. Who knows, maybe they will start pedaling the bike!
The rebate it self could pay for the electric kit.
