I have a little bag of stuff that I have pulled out of my tires over the last several years of commuting. The worst was the bungee hook that tore a 1/2 inch hole in the side of a pretty new tire.

I blogged about flats the other day after double flatting on a ride. Lesson: Don't stop checking the tire just becuase you found what you "think" caused the flat...

The nice thing about nails is they stay in the tire to let you know what did it. About half the time I can't find what caused the flat. I can find the hole in the tube, and orienting the valve to the lable, then find the hole in the tire. I save the little boogers. Most are nails, but I don't have any glass. Maybe glass just falls out after.
