A Bicycle Built For You

by Randy Policar

Bike for 2

There are several different types of bikes out there. Getting the right bike for you is very important. You should find a bike that fits your needs. Common sense tells you that you shouldn’t take a road bike off of jumps on a mountain trail. Darryl Swint from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch wrote an interesting article about this.

Searching for a new bike should begin with an emphasis on function, frame and fit. Mike Weiss, owner of Big Shark Bicycle Co. in St. Louis, says finding the right bike depends on the cyclist’s goals.

Once the style of riding and terrain is chosen, the bike shop salesperson can suggest a mountain, road or comfort bike and pick a frame material.
