My Giant Tran Send DX shipped with these grips. They are quite comfortable. Commuting 17 miles each way (like there original reviewer) is no problem. I will add that it is important to get them angled jut right. My wife has a new Trek that has a very similar design. It makes sense to offer more support where the palm wants the weight to go. I do get occasional numbness though not always or often.

I just rode these grips, as the rest of the boys on my team at the 24 hours of Big Bear West Virginia. Maybe not a big deal, but we have all raced single speed / rigid bikes for the last 7 years there. I feel qualified to tell you they are life changing, and fantastic! I did wear some 'overly' gelled gloves by Pearl Izumi, which, on their own would have been fantastic, but with the added depth it did make the grip a hair sketchy on the crazy steep, long, and fast downhill (my hands tended to slip forward, but understand again, single/rigid/rocky/very steep) - I rode other laps with my regular low padded Fox gloves and not even a remote problem. Buy 'em. Go buy 'em.

Yes! They do have special Grips for GripsShift bikes. Check out http://commutebybike.com/2006/05/31/ergon-grips-first-impression/

I installed them on the Xootr Swift, best grips I've ever ridden.

Does anyone know if these will fit with GripShift and Bar Ends? I have a messed up Nevicular Bone in my wrist and these sound like a perfect remedy for the pain and numbness. The bar I have now is the Easton/Cannondale Competition.

Thanks,
