Only 1% of Americans Commute By Bike

Klein says he’s heard about 1 percent of Americans commute by bicycle to work, and he’s on the mark. The Washington State Energy Office reports the number at 1.6 percent of Americans, while the number of people who commute by bike is at 15 percent in Japan and 50 percent in the Netherlands.
