NO BIKES ALLOWED!

by Randy Policar

For the past year I’ve been riding my bike inside our warehouse to get around. It’s either that or drive the golf cart. I prefer the bike or the Trikke just because it’s more practical and a lot more fun. I don’t have to worry about recharging my bike and it doesn’t cost the government a dime. (Your tax dollars) That came to a screeching halt last week because a particular person complained about it. He said that it’s unsafe because forklift drivers would not be able to hear me coming. So what’s the difference with walking in the warehouse?! I think he complained because we were having too much fun going up and down the warehouse with the Trikke.

So if riding a bike inside the warehouse was so unsafe, why did it take over a year for someone to mention it?

People like that are sissies. If you know who it is, have them try the Trikke then he’ll see how fun it is.

  2. This guy is just the character who would stop anyone from having any form of fun. The funny thing is, he’s just another worker. He’s not in any supervisory position.

As a former Forklift driver/instructor I had to laugh. All you need is some noise making device and blinker set up. That is all that is required for the forklift for warning systems so if it’s good for the forklift then it should be good for the bike.

Personaly I would rather have a trike moving around than some of the barely awake people that I worked with in warehouses.

Thats a load of crap. Whatever.

Some people just get off on ruining other peoples fun… You should get one of these annoying things to remind him just how much worse it COULD be: http://www.gizmodo.com/gadgets/gadgets/pacificwind-thrustpac-the-most-fun-you-can-have-with-your-clothes-on-204942.php

At least your fun on a bike is quiet… (and I can’t imagine what one of these things would sound like in a warehouse)

This guy needs to get a life, I know who Randy is talking about, anything this guy says his boss does, maybe he should be the boss, his boss has no *&%%^ balls to get him strait. Unfortunately we are guest on their warehouse and have to obey their rules. I cant wait to go back to “REAL ARMY UNIT”.
