My Birthday was Last Week

by Bike Shop Girl

The 13th was my birthday. I’m not a huge fan of birthdays, why celebrate getting a year older? Why is this day different than the last? The best thing to do on your birthday? Ride your bike!

I have been riding into work a couple times a week since I started my new job a month ago. The commute is wonderful through country roads and then metro neighborhoods. Here’s a couple photos from the morning and the night ride to my birthday dinner party.

    Happy birthday, Arleigh!

Don’t think of it as a celebration of getting older…think of it as the start of a new year of cycling and congratulate yourself on the success of your last year!

  2. Dan says:

Happy Birthday Arleigh! My birthday is on the 13th as well (as is Whoopi Goldberg’s).

  3. Arleigh says:

Thank you!! Happy Birthday to you Dan!!

To set Ghost Rider straight. It’s not the beginning of a new year. We celebrate birthdays at the completion of that year. Like when your one year old, ya know what I’m saying?

So if your 47 (just saying) it’s your last day of being 47. That’s why so many people get depressed on their birthday.

    Have a happy one. 8>)

Well, all right, end…beginning… the important thing is that my sentiment still applies!
