Most other times I'll ride in to work from the train station and vice versa in an ad hoc convoy, but that's because many of us start around the same time and so we catch the same train. I don't work in Silicon Valley anymore, but I really miss that ride and the company! The San Francisco Bicycle Coalition has a "Bike Buddy" program, but since that's primarily urban within the city it isn't really the same thing as a bike train or commuter convoy I used to commute 40 miles one-way with a bunch of friends and co-workers from San Francisco to Mountain View.
