Atlanta has recently kicked off one of these as well. It's an opportunity to use the increased interest in cycling to our advantage. In particular, there's an online survey where I happily expressed my preference for cycling over cars, walkable communities and making the price of a long commute match the cost of a long commute through tolls and/or taxes. It took only a few moments of my time and shows that cyclists are concerned about transportation decisions.

Often we question "Why doesn't the government do anything for cycling?", but unless we tell them what we want, how will they know what we want?
