Commuting to School Can Get You to the Olympics

by JoelGuelph

Adam Craig is one of the top US hopefuls for the upcoming Beijing Olympics and apparently he used to be quite the winter bike commuter:

Adam CraigIn the fifth grade, he rode his bike to school – six miles away. While at Dexter High, he would ride his bike to school on snow days so he could get his books to study.

“I’d be in here and all of a sudden I’d hear, ‘squeak, squeak, squeak,’ ” said Robyn Keyte, a secretary at Dexter for 28 years. “It’d be Adam, getting his books. He was quiet and unassuming, and never in my wildest dreams did I think he had this great fire burning in him.”

From this article in the Portland Press Herald.

Adam also has a blog, which you can check out at http://www.adamcraig.net/blog.html.
