Hilarious comments. This is certainly not the most expensive bike that Moots makes, hell their niche is fancy custom Ti frames, as with a number of other similar companies (Seven, etc., etc.) The pricetags on those bikes rarely arouse a comment, the assumption being that people who want pricey bikes can buy pricey bikes and those who want cheap ones can buy cheap ones. What seems to really get people’s goat about this is that it’s a commuter. So the implied message seems to be that it’s fine to splash out big for a toy to ride on weekends, but not for a vehicle that you might actually use to get around…interesting logic…I’ve been a year-round commuter on a couple of different Ti frame bikes for over a decade BTW, and have put 20,000+ miles on them without ever having one stolen, including 10 years in east and west Baltimore, and now China. My bike is my only vehicle and has been for 4+ years, and it cost way less than even a crappy car.
