It's a shame to have the internal gear hub without the full chain case that it enables. Chain cases are great for keeping water, grit, and salt (from anti-ice salting of winter roads) off the chain. The new Schwinn World NX7 has one at a nice price point. (Link from my name.)

Bikes look ok,but that website is a hot mess. Ok great, there's a slider bar to show you the colors. And ok,I'll give you the "bike finder" for newbies who don't know exactly what they're looking for. But where are the specs? Options? Most importantly, price? I want substance, not style.

@Marc: The top tube triangle design allows for a much lighter bicycle. And you're right, the top tube gives you more places to lean a bike against something.

@Olivier: Oh yeah, price. Urbana says they're looking at $1100 to $1500, depending the build.

Since reading comments and polls on pass-through frames, I had to ask myself, "What is it about the 'man bar' that I need?" The only thing I can come up with is that I use it to haul my bike up and down two flights of stairs everyday.

So if stability isn't an issue, it might work... although I'll miss a place to put my bike lock and tire pump. :)

Nice report and good looking bike!

We ran one of our little surveys asking about step-through frames. You can see the results here:

Hi Marc,

I was wondering when somebody would comment on that :-) The step through doesn't bother me at all, but I'm really curious what other people think about it.

I like everything about this bike except for the pass-through frame. I can't get over that.
