I've been using Wald rear folding basket for years. I love baskets that fold up and are big enough to carry a full size gorcery bag.

People have said my basket look heavy, have holes that are too big, don't hold enough, can't carry enough weight and on and on.. But I love mine. I do carry a plastic bag from any store to put small stuff in, then tie in and to the basket...

I love the idea of having grocery bags with in arm reach, for getting a bite to eat while bringing the groceries home...

What's the point? This basket seems to me to be useless for three reasons:

1. Insanely overpriced. It reminds me of my father's saying about those people who have "more money than brains."

2. Useless as a basket. The gaping holes along the sides would fail to keep in many items that I would carry in it.

3. I cannot think of any reason why anyone would want to collapse their front basket. This feature is certainly useless to me.

Looks like gagetry and gimmickry with no real use.

You have got to be kidding me. $75? For a material, steel, that is about $.11/pound? Laser or water jet cut and powder coated! OMG, this "basket" cost them about $3 to make. I'll be amazed if they sell any of these.

Creative design concept, but hello sharp edges! Most fast manufacturing techniques that can produce these parts will leave bag-cutting or grocery-ripping edges. Perhaps they plan to sell these with a complimentary metal file.

Interesting. It doesn't look very sturdy, though, and lots of room on the sides where things can escape.
