Been commuting on my Uptown 8 for 10 months and I love it! I TRUST my bike and wouldn't trade it. (but), I did install a 16T rear cog when the bike was brand-new to get a little extra speed out of it and I am happy. I encourage you to grab this bike because the "8" has 307% spread, whereas the new Nuvinci on this Breezer gives you 360%!!
I wish I had it!

The Uptown 8 is 34 lbs. I wonder whether Breezer will shatter the elusive 35 lb barrier with this one...

I ride a 2007 Breezer Citizen and I have long admired the company for the great urban commuting bikes they make. I am curious about what the reviewer of this new bike thought about the light system? Does this have the same dynamo system? As I understand it, after the 2007 models, they went to a slightly different system and I am curious if there are any problems with it....

That's a nice looking set up. And it looks like the Breezer is offering as a complete bike something very similar to what I've been trying to achieve piecemeal. Almost makes me wish I'd just waited for the Breezer, although building it up from parts has been a lot of fun. And I've been drooling over the new Nuvinci since I read the specs. I love my current version of the hub, and the new one looks to be an improvement in every way. Time to start saving my pennies.
