Buff make a huge range og Headwear from UV, Polar buffs to casual type 'SueMe' wear, even one with a visor for those sunny rides.
I've used them for years and love them.Light, easy to wear, wash and dry, that's why I asked, and they agreed to Sponsor 'Round-Britain Ride2Recovery.

Nice review. I, too, have worn one for years biking to work, as well as while hiking and cross country skiing. In fact I am wearing it now after getting home a couple of hours ago.

It is hardly ever out of reach as I carry it year round in my other indispensable item - a Mountainsmith fanny pack. Within a day of misplacing my first one, I had replaced it with a new one.

On occasion, like last week when it was -14°, wearing it under a wool cap wicks away perspiration and prevents itching.

I've been wearing Buffs for years. They're great. They actually make them in a variety of materials. Some are designed to be more UV protective, some are cooler. My favorite is their Merino wool. The wool is great in winter while still thin enough to not be oppressively warm. It's also longer than the original style.
