Back in your cars, everyone. Bike to Work Week is over.

Inside the drab building you see in the video below is the headquarters of Commute by Bike. But yesterday we de-drabified the building a bit with a new stainless steel sign.

And today–at the conclusion of Bike to Work Week–the online cycling accessory powerhouse that is Bike Shop Hub is unveiling a nice showroom squeezed into a couple of corners of this warehouse located in downtown Flagstaff.

It’s a big day for us. Come by and say hello if you are a fan of Bike Shop Hub or Commute By Bike and are in the neighborhood today.

The parking around here is pretty awful, so just kidding about getting back in your cars.

Update: Photos of the grand opening on our Facebook page.

    *sigh*

There are times I really miss Flagstaff; the seasons; hiking and camping up on The Peaks; Night Tubing on the snowy hills on Lake Mary Road; fishing at Hawley Lake.

I’m thinking it would be a lot of fun to escape the Phoenix heat for a few days this summer and head up there. I figure the more money I save commuting by bike, the more likely a trip like that is gonna happen!

Yeah, I’ve got some vacation time I need to take, and I don’t think Mrs. Cat is gonna be able to take any of her time until September. So I may just put The Roadley in the CR-V and bachelor it up there sometime soon.

(BTW, I said Hawley Lake when I meant to say Ashurst Lake! I love both of those lakes, but one of them, of course, isn’t anywhere near Flagstaff!)
