There are two of them on each Roadmaster pannier. In your photo of the back of the Roadmaster, you see them as a pair of bright orange dots. They are really nothing more than little cosmetic plugs, and none of the other three are loose. I bet a little sticky hair spray would work to fasten it down if I ever do discover another loose one. I'm thinking of contacting Vaude to see if they'll send me a replacement for the one that got away. These Roadmasters are over 50% larger than my old panniers, which means I can get all of my commuting gear --- including the pump, tools, lights, and everything else --- into them without having a extra rack bag, seat bag or handlebar bag. Since I can take everything with me when I lock my bike in a public place, and thus have less fear of accessories being pilfered off the bike, I've even taken the Roadmasters grocery shopping. Pop them off the rear rack in an instant, <a href="http://i69.servimg.com/u/f69/13/57/05/78/12-sho10.jpg" rel="nofollow">plop them onto the grocery cart</a>, and you have the most stylish set of shopping bags going!
