I have had this bike a year. My only complaint would be that the handlebars might be higher to make for a more comfortable commute. The bike is not light, but not as heavy as my old mountain bike and the overall build is excellent. I really feel I have a solid workhorse. I have only added a few lights to make my early morning ride safer. The lights built into the seat are decent but not really very bright. The switch under the seat seems to get turned on by accident frequently, but the batteries last for a very long time. The fenders and chain guard are great. The alfine 8 is smooth and makes we wonder why I ever had a 21 speed with a dérailleurs. The whole bike is maintenance free, I have had to pump the tires once a month. I would rate this as a 9/10 on value and 9/10 over all build. I only have a 3 1/2 mile commute but it is a pleasure everyday.
