One of our local shop owners has one of these frames built up as a roadie- I must say it's one sweet looking frame!! The welds are immaculate. The fit and finish is a work of art. I'd imagine it would be great built up as a commuter as well.

It is a great commuter. the steel frame and 28c tires (fits up to 32c) make for a comfy ride. I haven't put a rack on it yet, so I don't know how it rides loaded. Fast and responsive when you need it to be.

I really like the SOMA frames... Wish they were more...."visible"... I seldom see them here on the East Coast. BTW, this page is tagged under "Fat Tires"... I don't claim to hold the definition, but 32c is NOT a fat-tire... I'd say a tire should be a minimum width of 1.75in/45mm before it's considered fat... the Schwalbe Marathon, Big Apple... now THOSE are some FAT tires. Peace, BB
