I ride a recumbent tadpole trike. I'm considering putting together a push trailer or buying something already built (Ridekick).
Would higher wattage create more power? or distance? I've noticed there are many wattages, amp hours, and many different volt systems…(i.e 350 watt, 450 watt, 750 watt, 1000 watt…7ah, 10ah, 12ah, 15ah, 20ah…24 volt, 36 volt, 48 volt). What does all this mean? How does all this relate?
How can I actually determine the "correct" solution without trying them all. I'm sure there is a way to figure out the proper motor / manufacturer solution without trial and error that could be extremely expensive.
I know there are legal ramification to determine the limits of a e-bike. I would assume it would take more energy to move more weight up a hill than a very light weight bike on level or down hill. There is a 20 mph limit…
There are many manufacturers and brands…such as Hill Topper Kit and E-Bike Kit to name a few…Are they all the same? Since many are imported is service and durability an issue?
